Application
The active bus termination unit RS485 is a bus termination unit that generates a defined level when the bus is open. The application is with nonfail-safe transceivers, with fail-safe transceivers the interference immunity increases considerably. With long lines, galvanic isolation is more favourable because of common-mode signals.
